Do you remove the background of my photo before engraving it?

For 2D crystal photos, we usually keep the background intact.

Does the crystal photo come with a base?

Our custom crystals are designed to stand on their own, but adding a lighted base can help to highlight the unique details of your custom engraving.

The base is optional. For better results, we recommend adding a base.

Can I get a color image inside my crystal?

Unfortunately, laser engraving is different from printing. Our custom crystal images are made by etching tiny points inside the crystal, which doesn't allow for adding color. Currently, no laser-engraved crystal photos can achieve full-color images.

Why do different crystal sizes fit different numbers of figures?

Engraving uses advanced lasers to create tiny pixels inside the crystal. More figures require more pixels, and overcrowding can increase the risk of cracking.

For the best results, choose a crystal size that suits the number of figures you want to include.

What’s the difference between 2D crystal and 3D crystal photo?

The key difference between 2D and 3D laser engraving lies in the level of depth and realism.

  • 2D Engraving: This recreates your photo as a flat, detailed image etched inside the crystal. It’s perfect for necklaces, keychains, and wine stoppers, offering a sleek and elegant look.
  • 3D Engraving: This brings your image to life by adding depth. Viewed from the front, your photo appears with realistic dimensions. Turn the crystal around, and you’ll experience a stunning optical illusion, as the people or pets in the image seem to follow you with their gaze!
